Traveling Soccer vs. Tiger Academy

Choosing the Right Soccer Program

Traveling Soccer vs. Tiger Academy

TIGER ACADEMY OVERVIEW

Tiger Academy is run by the HS Boys and Girls teams and through Community Ed. It is a less competitive level of play and requires less commitment than the Traveling Program run through the New Richmond Soccer Club. It is  available during the Spring/Summer season and the Fall season. Registration is open to all players interested. There is not a tryout process for the Tiger Academy. Players are grouped in multiple age levels based on registration. Tiger Academy teams will play more of an in-house schedule that will hopefully someday include some games against other clubs, but the program will limit the travel involved.

Commitment Requirements:

• 1 practice per week

• Fee to play ranges between $32 and $68 depending on level

HS student players and volunteer coaches trained through the Grassroots Coaching certification system sponsored by US Soccer for the appropriate age level.

Participants will receive a t=shirt by the end of the season which is covered in the registration fee.

Registration is now closed for the 2024 Fall Season

TRAVELING PROGRAM (SPRING/SUMMER)

A more competitive level of play. Registration is through a tryout process, and players will play on permanent teams. To be considered for a Spring/Summer Team a player must participate in the yearly tryout process held in late June  for the following Spring/Summer. Dual age groups (or Banded Teams) means we combine two age groups to create the most competitive teams at each level (for example our U12 teams have U11 and U12 age groups, while our U14 teams have U13 and U14 players).

There is no tryout fee.  The season begins in late January with optional indoor training and runs through June.

Commitment Requirements:

• Will play in WYSA's Northwest Classic League with most games on Saturdays (tournaments are weekend long)

• Hudson Tournament, Eau Claire Tournament, and Baldwin Blast Tournament
