TRAVEL PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The NRSC Traveling Program is more competitive than the Tiger Academy Program. Traveling soccer requires a greater commitment from players and parents for practices and games. The traveling program provides licensed volunteer coaches, professional and team training, year round training, and opportunities for offseason, indoor play. New Richmond competes in separate Fall and Spring/Summer seasons, and players can choose to play one or both.

NRSC offers Traveling Teams for boys and girls from the U10 level and older. Younger teams focus on developing every player, experience at every position, and equal playing time.  Beginning at U12, playing time is not guaranteed to be equal and can be based on skill, attendance, attitude, and effort.

While all players can register for and play during the Fall Traveling Season, in order to play in the Spring/Summer Season, players must tryout and make the Team. Tryouts for this team will be held each year in late June to form teams for the following Spring/Summer Season. Placement on a Fall Traveling Team does not guarantee placement on a Spring/Summer Team.

SPRING/SUMMER TRAVELING SEASON

This season begins with practicing indoors in the school district facilities in late January and goes through April (usually Sunday afternoons).  Weather permitting, outdoor practices start in mid April (2  times per week). Games and tournaments will be on weekends.

FALL TRAVELING SEASON

Fall Traveling Season practices start at the end of August. Teams will practice twice a week and games and tournaments will be on the weekends. Tournaments run from early September to the end of October.

TRAVEL SOCCER COSTS

Volunteer: The New Richmond Soccer Club is a volunteer based organization, and all programs are supported through volunteers. There will be several volunteer opportunities that we ask families to participate in.
